Keep short accounts with God and others

For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. 1Thes 5:2. Keep short accounts with God. In a world of uncertainty it’s best to put things right with others and with God whilst we still can. Life passes so quickly and something we intended to deal with a week ago can become years ago. Don’t put off until tomorrow what you know you need to do today! Resolve that misunderstanding, reach out to someone whose offended you, where restitution or forgiveness is needed, then give it. God will help you, if you need it. If there is something you need to put right with God, then do that quickly, your peace, joy and eternal hope depend on it. There is no better place to be than knowing you’re living right with God and with others. Praise God today that He will give us the strength to do whatever we must do to keep in right standing with Him and with others.
