We are called to restore not to judge

“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. Mat 7:1-2. Jesus did not judge us, so we should not judge others. It is so easy for criticism to turn into judgement, where we start to measure others by our standards, that is not what God wants us to do. Jesus made a way for us to be reconciled to the Father, He knows exactly our flaws and faults but does not condemn but rather restores. So in the same way rather than criticising, we should love and do what we can to be part of restoring others and helping them get back on track. We are to be as God’s hands on the earth not to place ourselves above others. For as we judge others, we too will be judged, and I don’t want to be judged by God! Thank God today that He didn’t judge us but loved us and restored us to Himself through Jesus.
