We should be influencing others and not being influenced

Don’t befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people, or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul. Pr 22:24-25. We’re so impressionable as individuals, that in reality if we are not influencing others, we’re being influenced! This is so much more apparent with teenagers, where a bad group of peer friends can significantly impact the life choices they make. There is an old saying “show me your friends and I will tell you who you are”. If we continually associate with angry or hot tempered people, we will slowly adopt similar mannerisms. It’s God in us that should be guiding us so that we can bring out the best in others and not their worst in us. Associate with like minded people and never lose sight of God or His guidance on everything you do. Praise God today for good friends who are a blessing and not a curse, who will build us up and not tear us down, or draw us away from God.
