When we stand on the Word we release God’s power into our situation

The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.'”  Lk 4:3-4. Jesus is the Word (Jn 1:1), so Jesus could easily have told the devil to go and he would have had to flee. But Jesus didn’t, Jesus rejected each of the devils temptations with the Word of God “it is written”. Jesus showed us that the power of the Word is sufficient for all of our needs. So when we face difficulties, temptation or trials we must quote the Word into our situations as well. As we stand on the Word we release the supernatural power of God into our natural circumstances. God is faithful and we must keep standing on the Word and never lose hope. God’s promises are for us now, but His timing is not always our timing. Praise God today that His word never changes and is full of the same life changing power as it had 2000 years ago.
