When you bless those who persecute you, you will be blessed

Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, "I will take revenge; I will pay them back," says the Lord. Instead, "If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads." Don't let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. Romans 12:19-21.

When you bless those who persecute you, they will feel shame as they will know that you have acted much more honourably than they have. God's goodness will shine through your life as you leave revenge to God and refuse to allow anger to make you do something that will create even more problems for you. God's peace will go with you as you determine to bless those who persecute you. Praise God today that as we choose to bless those who persecute us, we will be blessed and retain our peace.
